The AI Tote Organizer with Printable QR Labels
StowQR turns storage totes into a searchable inventory. Snap one photo and AI catalogs every item inside. Print a QR label on paper you already own. Scan it to see what's in the box — without opening it.

“Kitchen misc.” “Garage stuff.” “Cables??” A marker on masking tape can't list thirty items, and it can't answer the question you actually have in November: which basement tote has the winter coats. So you open every box until you find them.
A QR tote label is different. It links the physical box to a live inventory in the app — every item, with a photo. The label never goes stale, because the list behind it updates whenever the box does.
How it works
- Snap a photo of the open tote.Itemify, StowQR's AI cataloging feature, detects every item in the frame — naming each one and cropping its own thumbnail. Review the list, fix anything, save. No typing thirty item names by hand.
- Print the QR label.Design it first if you like — colors, an emoji, the tote's name. Then AirPrint it from your phone, or send the PDF anywhere a printer lives: email, AirDrop, Files. Plain paper and tape work; so do standard Avery label sheets.
- Scan or search.Scanning a label shows the tote's contents instantly. Searching the app finds which tote holds any item — across the garage, attic, basement, and storage unit at once.
What people organize with it
Seasonal storage
Winter coats go into a basement tote in May. In November, search “coats” and the app tells you exactly which tote — and the QR label confirms it before you carry the wrong box upstairs.
Holiday decorations
Lights, ornaments, and the tree skirt live in the attic eleven months a year. Catalog each tote once and next December you pull down only the boxes you need.
Garage and hobby gear
Camping equipment, power tools, cables. Group totes by Place — “Garage”, “Attic” — so you can browse by where things physically are, not just what they're called.
QR labels you design yourself
These aren't warehouse barcodes. Pick a style (Standard, Dots, or Squircle), set the colors, add an emoji, and print the tote's name on the label. The QR code becomes the tote's identity — recognizable from across the room, scannable from your phone.

“I organized my garage in maybe an hour with the help of this app. I can find what I'm looking for when I want it through their cool AI embedded within the app. Very helpful. Would recommend.”
Frequently asked questions
- What counts as a tote?
- Any container you store things in — plastic totes, cardboard moving boxes, bins, baskets, even duffel bags. If you can stick a label on it, StowQR can track what's inside it.
- Do I need special labels or hardware?
- No. StowQR labels print on any home inkjet or laser printer, on plain paper or standard Avery label sheets. There's no proprietary sticker pack to buy and no label subscription.
- How does the AI cataloging work?
- The feature is called Itemify. Open a tote, snap one photo of the open box, and AI detects every item in the frame — naming each one and cropping its own thumbnail from the photo. You review the list, fix anything it got wrong, and save. Take more photos of the same tote and StowQR merges them without double-counting items.
- Is StowQR free?
- The free tier includes 3 totes — enough to organize a closet or test it on your messiest shelf. Pro unlocks unlimited totes for $3.99/month, $29.99/year, or a one-time $99.99 lifetime purchase.
- What if a QR label gets damaged or falls off?
- Reprint it. The QR code is tied to the tote in the app, so a fresh print works immediately — at no extra cost, as many times as you need.
- Does StowQR work on Android or the web?
- StowQR is on iPhone and iPad today. Android and web apps are in beta — you can join the waitlist at stowqr.com/android.
